Swimmer Code Of Conduct

Each swimmer is an important member of our team! Team members will encourage and support each other at all times.

The swimmers on other teams also work hard in practice, and race hard in meets. All team members will treat opposing team members with respect and good sportsmanship.

Swimmers will treat coaches, officials, volunteers, and team captains with respect.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the warm-up time for each meet, and ten minutes before the start time for each practice.  At meets, please sit in the designated team area.

Swimmers are expected to swim all events that they are scheduled to swim and stay to cheer on teammates until the end of the meet. We do understand extenuating circumstances. Please communicate these circumstances to the coaching staff. PLEASE, DO NOT LEAVE A MEET WITHOUT NOTIFYING THE COACHING STAFF!

During any swim team events, no swimmer is allowed to enter the water or place anything in the water without permission of a coach or official.  At the conclusion of a meet, no swimmer or coach may enter the water or push another person in the water.  This may result in forfeiture of the meet.

Please do not chew gum or bring glass onto the pool deck at any time.

All swimming equipment should be put away after each practice.

If your ride is late picking you up, please notify a coach and wait inside.

Running on the pool deck, pushing other swimmers, or any other form of horseplay on the pool deck or in the locker rooms will not be tolerated at any time.  Disruptive behavior such as, but not limited to: excessive talking, harming fellow swimmers, not following proper practice/lane etiquette, pulling or hanging on the lane-lines, disrespect toward the coaching staff or other officials; will result in a reprimand, and may result in removal from practice or a meet.

REPEATED VIOLATIONS OF THIS CODE OF CONDUCT MAY RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE SESSION, MEET AND / OR TEAM.
